Whispering Herd offers Equine Assisted Growth and counseling for personal and collective development.
This form of experiential learning involves client, therapist and horse as co-facilitator to encourage wellbeing, holistic socio-sensual awareness, authentic and shared-leadership, confidence, congruence, community-building, healthy relationships and communication. Our heart based programs are inspired by holistic First Nations teachings of the Medicine Wheel, as well as Buddhist philosophy.
This therapeutic model helps support and develop:

- Youth, individual, couple, family & group development
- Authentic expression & purpose
Equine-Facilitated Mental Health (EFMH) includes a wide range of counseling, education and personal development approaches that aim to bring humans and equines together in healing and learning environments. In EFMH, clients work towards therapeutic and/or personal development and growth goals through carefully facilitated and supervised interactions with specially selected horses (EFMH-Canada, 2008).
